General Notes for Jeremiah M Haworth
of the firm of Haworth Brothers, farmer, Sec. 23; P. O. Ackworth; born in Clinton county, Ohio, in 1824; his parents emigrated to Edgar county, Illinois, when he was but a child, where he lived till he came to this county, in June, 1846; he was married, in this county, in August 1853, to Miss Elizabeth Ginder, who was born in Ohio; they have four children: Louisa J., Martha P., Alfred A. and Hannah N.; he, with his brother, John H., owns 684 acres of land; he has served two terms as justice of the peace, and was elected county recorder in an early day, and served one term; he was raised on a farm, but after he was married, run a saw mill for about sixteen years.
