| NEWTON - Inez Birdie Hockett, 96, died June 17, 2011, at her son Evan and wife Joyce's home. She was born July 28, 1914. On May 28, 1944, she married Ira Hockett. He died in 1991. She was preceded in death by daughter, Sue Hockett Fields, parents, sisters, Mable Yoder, Betty Eshnaur, Martha Schmidt, and brothers, Reuben and Paul Marvin Yoder. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at Norwich United Methodist Church. Visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church before the service. Burial in Upchurch Cemetery. Memorials to the church or the Mennonite Cemetery Maintenance Fund, Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper. |
