In the name of God, Amen. I William McGinnis of RushCreek Township Fairfield county and state of Ohio, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in (unreadable) and form following and first I commend my spirit to God who give it and my body to the dust from whence it was taken to be buried in a decent Christian manner and as touching my worldly substance wherewith it has pleased God to bless me, I first give and bequeath to my beloved wife the one half of the plantation I now live on to be equally divided by two or three disinterested men together with the (unreadable) and (unreadable) of my stone (store?) house, which house she is to have during her life if she remains my widow otherwise if she should marry I will that (unreadable) of the house be given up to my two daughters Delila and Amy (Ann?), the land she is to have during her life, then I will and allow that it descend to my two children Lydia & Jane. I further will that my wife have free privilege of water but not to prevent my other heirs from the same privilege and further bequeath to my two daughters Delila and Amy (ann?) the other equal half of my plantation and the privileges of my Log dwelling house with an equal privilege with my wife to the water, barn, stable and spring house with the exceptions of the upper story of the spring house which my wife is to have and further will and allow my wife and daughters Delila and Amy (Ann?) so soon as they agree thereto they may sell the whole plantation together in which case I will that guardians be appointed and the one half of the price of that plantation be put to interest and the interest paid to my wife annually for the support of her and my two children Lydia and Jane. I do likewise give and bequeath to my son Levi besides seventy dollars which he

I do further give and bequeath to my son Harvey one hundred and eleven dollars and thirty three cents and to my son William I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and eleven dollars and thirty three cents to be paid to them as they arrive at the age of twenty one years out of money coming to me from James (Undreadable!!) of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. I do give my wife Hester two beds and bedding, (unreadable), of our she brought to my house with her and twilled tick and the feathers it. Six blankets, five coverlets, two quilts, four sheets together with two bedsteads, and the pillows belonging to the two beds and one Bureau and the cupboard and two tables, the old oven, one looking glass, one (unreadable) kettle, one dutch oven the smaller one, and one set (unreadable), one small server and the half of all the furniture on the (unreadable), one rocking cradle, and one cow, her choice of three with her calf and her own saddle and six sheep and one half of my stock hogs, and the half of the geese, one small dinner pot and eight dollars in money. I further allow one steer to be fatted next fall and equally divided between her and Delila. I further allow to my wife one spinning wheel. I do further will and bequeath to my daughters Delila & Ann all the rest and residue of my household and kitchen furniture consisting of beds, bedsteads and bedding of every description and our table, our looking glass, two (shugar?) kettles all (silverware?) and kitchen furniture not otherwise bequeathed together with two Cows, and one calf, six sheep and half my stick hogs, our set of (five? Five?) unreadable, the half of the geese to be equally divided between them. I further will and divise to my daughter Delila our Bureau and one Clock (unreadable) of any divide and one (heifer?) calf. I do further will that each of my daughters Delila and Ann is to have one equal right to the fruit of the Orchard with my wife and my other articles not otherwise by me bequeathed is to equally divided between my wife and two daughters Delila and (Amy, Ann?). I do further and allow my two horses, (flourmill?), horse gear, together with all my farming utensils to be sold after my decease and the money arising therfrom to be equally divided between my three sons, Levi, Harvey, Wiliam. I further will that my daughter Delila is to have the care and sale of the part of the last mentioned property which will be coming to my (unreadable) sons, Harvey, William, and Levi the management of his own share Harvey, William’s part of the price of said property to be paid to them as they arrive at the age of twenty one years. Executors of this my last will and testament hereby rebuking all former and other wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of November 1824. William McGinnis signed, published and declared to be the last will and testament of the above named William McGinnis in presence of us who have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses in presence of the Estator ?
