General Notes for Norbert F. Hueppchen
Norbert F. Hueppchen, age 85, of 25 W. Eastman St. Plymouth, died Monday morning, Feb. 21, 2005, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility where he had been a resident for the past 10 months.

Norbert was born June 12, 1919 in Plymouth, the son of the late Walter and Freida Klemme Hueppchen. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1938 and then attended Fond du Lac Junior College. Following college, Norbert worked on his father’s farm before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in Korea before the Korean Conflict from 1948 to 1949.

Upon his return to the United States, he married Adela Berg on Feb. 11, 1950 in Bangor, Wis.

Norbert loved his Lord and loved serving Him. He was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and also an elder. Norbert was also a member of the Lutheran Laymen League and was chosen “Layman of the Year” in 2002. He enjoyed traveling throughout the area and was known to attend many auctions. Norbert also spent a lot of time at his shed in the country where he kept a garden and enjoyed his time outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Adela; a son, Mark (Lillian) Hueppchen of Cleburne, Texas; a daughter, Myrna Cichocki of Sheboygan; a grandchild, Ericka Cichocki; two step grandchildren, Darrell and Steve Chacon; a sister, Myrtle (Marvin) Feldmann of Plymouth; a step-brother, Willard Davis of Plymouth; a step sister-in-law, Mae Davis; a brother-in-law, Norman (Phyllis) Berg of Bangor, Wis.; and six sisters-in-law, Renata Bushek of Bangor, Margaret Kersten of La Crosse, Marion Berg of La Crosse, Laurine Solberg of Onalaska, Vivian Havens of Bangor and Marcella (Edward) Richmond of Rockland, Wis. Norbert was further survived by many, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was also preceded in death by a step-brother, Eldon Davis; a step sister-in-law, Janet Davis; brothers-in-law, Chester Bushek, Robert Kersten, Hilbert Berg, Harley Solberg and James Havens; and a sister-in-law, Leona Berg.
