General Notes for Abraham York
Sometime between 1840 and 1850, Abraham York and his wife Mary (McCormick) York moved west from Clinton County, Indiana, joining the Mormons for protection, but after reaching Utah, were not satisfied and started back to Indiana. Mary (McCormick) York died and is buried at Navoo, Illinois. Abraham York returned to Clinton County, Indiana and was there during the 1850 census. He died in 1852 and is buried in Layton Cemetery, Clinton County, Indiana.
