In 1941 she went to southern California with her husband, her children and their families. She was the mother of two children, Robert Thomas Mann and Ruth Elizabeth Mann. Her paternal grand parents were Jessie Bennett Allen and Sarah Catherine Lynch. Her maternal grand parents were Captain John Philip Grinstead and Zerelda Tunstall Shirley.
